"The Festin" - Ratatouille Fan Art

Here's my last project called "The Festin". A fan art of one of the best pixar (in my opinion) "Ratatouille". It's been a real pleasure working on this project. I wanted to challenge myself on the texturing for the food and create a warming atmosphere. Hope you'll enjoy it !

Here's all the assets that I made. I did a modular kit for the kitchen on the background to optimise the production and focus more on the props in the foreground.

The texturing of the book is inspired by the book from the movie. But I tried to do it my way and I've had a lots of fun doing it.

I've used the SSS parameter of Unreal to give slighty more textures for some foods like the cheese, the onions and the tomatoes.

I've created a quick graph for the fabric to practice my designer's skills, the point was to reproduce the famous french pattern that you can usually see. After that I've created a cloth simulation using blender to fold my napkin.

This project was also my first try on working with the path tracer of Unreal Engine 5. I knew it would have made a big difference since I have a lot of reflection in my scene.

I've taken a lot of screens during all the process of making this scene, which allowed me to see the evolution of my work.
It took me time to find the right lighting. I've really wanted to give a warm atmosphere to it.
